HIGHLIGHTS
iAAS
IAAS (International Association of Agricultural Students and Related Sciences) was created in 1957, aiming to promote common interest of students. IAAS is independent of any other organization and does not have any political affiliation. This Association is a consultative member of FAO. IAAS-UTAD is one of the local committees integrated in IAAS-Portugal, the national committee. Its major goal is to provide extra curricular contents to students, as also technicians and professionals, by giving technical and scientific knowledge, through its events. IAAS-UTAD is responsible for organizing big events, such as the International Congress on Pig Production, International Congress on Bovine Production, Symposium on Wild and Exotic Animals, Symposium on Sheep and Goat, and many other smaller seminars and talks. With those events, the Association pretend to foment the exchange of ideas and knowledge between the national and international scientific community, college students, companies and producers. The events are always organized with the ambition that it represents an important forum to debate and reflect on several issues and opportunities of the primary sector.
